## About holidays in Mexico

Three of Mexico's rest days move to Mondays — Constitution Day, Benito Juárez's birthday and Revolution Day — creating long weekends. The day of federal elections (the first Sunday of June in an election year) is a rest day too, and every six years 1 October is added for the presidential inauguration. Banks also close on a few extra days, such as Holy Thursday and Good Friday, that are not listed here.
