Are there any better media mash-ups than comic book fighting games? The ridiculous outfits and powers of superheroes just lend themselves so well to virtual showdowns. It’s worked in countless games, including 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, a 2D fighter from the Mortal Kombat developers starring the legends of the DC universe. I was a big fan of that game, and I’m looking forward to the sequel, Injustice 2, launching this May. So when given the chance to gets my hands on some Grodd-on-Grodd action, of course, I took it.

It’s rare that a remake of a horror classic actually looks decent. They’re usually pointless, shallow and often forget what made the original so scary, to begin with. (Looking at you, 2015 version of Poltergeist.) The trailer for the upcoming It remake came out today, and things are looking great. Even if you have remake fatigue at this point (understandable), this trailer has one important thing going for it: It’s scary. Maybe having a clown antagonist is cheating a little, but hey. It’s effective.
