The discovery of these cells and the way they interact to help us understand the world just earned a group of scientists the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Half the prize goes to American British neuroscientist John O’Keefe, with the other half shared by husband and wife neuroscience team May-Britt Moser and Edvard Moser from Norway.
